The church has been in Sandon for almost a thousand years and we would like it to be there in another thousand. Do you want to be part of handing on this heritage to future generations?
Most people assume that the building and its grounds are someone else’s responsibility, but this is not the case with a church. Churches “belong” to the community they serve, and the community has a responsibility to help to preserve them. We have a duty to make sure that when our descendants pass by they too will see the magnificent building and all the history it contains. Whether you are religious or not, we all have to look after our heritage and environment to be able to pass it on to future generations.
That is why the Friends of Sandon Church was formed in October 2014. The Friends will be raising money by membership and special fund raising events aiming to raise funds to:

Modern regulations make even minor repairs expensive, and a Grade 2 listed building needs high levels of craftsmanship.
Recently we have had our church roof replaced and although we received grants, a significant amount of money to help with the project came from the Friends. We know that sometime soon the church will have to tackle the following problems:
