Rogation Sunday in Cherries Farm Barn
We were very lucky to get the Bishop along to this! He has now visited Sandon twice in one week. Terry is obviously doing an exceptional job!
The Service was held in Cherries Farm Barn, courtesy of Richard and Sally Speakman. Sally with Dessi and other Family members provided an excellent tea and cakes table fit for a king! (or even a Bishop!)
The Service included the dedication of a new Union Flag for the Scout Groups. The finance for this was provided by the Sandon Allotment and Horticultural Society which finished trading some years ago but is using the residual monies for this and other good works.
The Service was attended by over 50 of us and the Bishop gave a pertinent Rogation address after Terry with help from the assembled youth had planted seeds, suitably watered in a garden of a bag of Growmore!
We do need more rain!
Many hands make light work!
To cap the Service the Bishop and Terry blessed the sheep as shown here.
However unlike God Richard Speakman had to confess that indeed he was unable to recognise each sheep in his care individually!
